The ThOP – the University’s student theatre

You’ve always wanted to be a part of the theatre – on stage or behind stage? Why don’t you have a look at the Theater im OP, short ThOP, Germany’s biggest student theatre, located in Göttingen?

Located in a former medical operating room with surrounding bench seats above the stage, for more than 30 years now Göttingen students have been acting, writing plays, designing costumes, building up the stage artwork, doing makeup and gaining experience in many more tasks a theatre production requires. Grab your chance to become part of this tradition and see for yourself what it feels like to be involved in a highly autonomous and creative working environment.

Apart from the theater itself, you’ll have a chance to develop various soft skills, learn more about teamwork, meet new friends, and on top of that – obtain credit points for your participation!

An additional bonus for those who want to practice English and/or international students without German knowledge – the English Drama Workshop stages one play per semester in English language.

Does it sound right for you? Then stop by at the information evening, which will take place on Wednesday, April 13th, at 8.15 p.m. in the ZHG 008, where you will get all the info you need. Otherwise give a call to the ThOP office – 0551-3922177 and check the webpage.
